My Jottings on Cherhill by Arthur Cleverly
« on: December 19, 2020, 07:46:15 pm »
I found this file on a dusty old disc, written in the days when I had a PC. Unfortunately, the photos that were in the original didn't transfer across, so the book is missing them.

Arthur Cleverly was a quiet person, but he certainly had an eye for the history of his ancestors village, Cherhill.

He was a breeder of butterflies. I made the mistake of asking him how he did that, and his reply was, "They do it all on their own"

At his funeral service, the little church was suddenly filled with butterflies, all of their own doing, not planted there. A very strange, yet delightful experience for all that attended. The gods played Arthur a service that day!

Enjoy Arthur's stories!
